June Favourites

The end of June has been so amazing that I really don’t want to go back to reality. Me and my boyfriend had a lovely sunny week in Spain and we’re now on a mini road trip in order to keep that holiday feeling for as long as we can.

I’ve been keeping my beauty routine quite minimal lately. Even before we went away, I just didn’t feel like using that many skincare and makeup products on my face and then, when the temperatures hit 38 degrees in the sun for a couple of days, I knew that it would have been a mistake to pile on multiple layers of moisturisers, foundation, highlighter…
In the morning, I’d just apply sunscreen, a bit of mascara and a lip product and then reapply SPF quite a few times during the day. I’ve had bad experience with wearing makeup (it wasn’t even that much) in hot summer days, so I set aside all the base products. As a matter of fact, unpleasant events have occurred, thanks to sunscreens that were not right for my skin, as well, so it was a real test for my skin condition. Lately, I’ve been relying on the Kiss My Face Sensitive Side 3 in 1 Sunscreen SPF 30 and I have to say, it is a bit shiny but doesn’t feel heavy and what’s most important, doesn’t clog my pores. The formula is paraben- and fragrance-free and it doesn’t contain Oxybenzone. It feels hydrating and soothing, so I tend to use it on its own and don’t actually apply a moisturiser beforehand. It takes a bit of time to rub it in because at first, it’s very white but then it melts into the skin and leaves a dewy finish. I’m really happy that it doesn’t break me out, I sometimes use it on my arms, as well and although, it’s still not perfect (I haven’t found the perfect face sunscreen yet!), it’s one of the best I’ve tried, so far.
And while we’re on the SPF topic, I wanted to mention that it’s quite complicated to reapply sunscreen throughout the day, I can’t see myself slapping cream without washing my face first but at the same time, I want my skin to be protected. Although we don’t sunbathe and just need product for the city environment, I was worried about my boyfriend’s skin because he burns quite easily. At the end of our trip, he had a small red patch on his forehead because apparently, I didn’t reapply the sunscreen that well but the rest of his face, neck and arms looked good. I was a bit unsure when he brought home the Garnier Sensitive Face Mist SPF 50 before we started packing. I wanted to get the La Roche-Posay mattifying mist but it was sold out everywhere. I thought the Garnier mist would break me out and would feel unpleasant. In fact, the mist is really fine and feels light on the skin. This product is part of a range, created for people with very fair, sun-intolerant and sensitive skin. I like the cooling feeling when you spray it on and the fact that it doesn’t leave greasy residue. I’m now convinced that it’s a lovely budget option for both, people with dry and combination skin, me and my boyfriend love it and we now have a second bottle of it.

I’ve heard a lot of positive reviews on the Fresh Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask but somehow the brand doesn’t ship outside the US or so it tells me every time I try to purchase something from them on any of the websites that stock Fresh. But a few weeks ago, Sephora released one of their Sephora Favorites sets and this mini was part of it. It allowed me to add the set to the basket and to proceed with my order (normally, I can never order a set that contains a product from a brand that doesn’t ship outside the US) and here it is. This is now my post-travel face mask because it instantly brightens and smooths out my complexion. It has a tingling and cooling feeling, a delicate fresh scent and it only needs a thin layer for a healthier-looking skin to be revealed. The mask has a whipped texture that melts into the skin and contains a complex of kombucha, black tea extract, blackberry leaf extract and lychee seed extract that work together against free radicals. The formula is also enriched with polysaccharides that help to smooth the skin. This face mask is a real treat for my skin and I’m glad I could get the mini of it.

Another impressive mini has been the Belif Bergamot Herbal Extract Toner which I also got in a set, as I’ve been curious about the brand for a long time, luckily, it is now available in Europe, too. I’m an acid toner user and sometimes I’d switch it up and apply a more hydrating one afterwards or I’d skip a day and instead of the acid one, I’d go for a lighter toner. Bergamot Herbal Extract Toner from Belif is formulated with bergamot and sage to balance normal to combination skin and to leave it feeling hydrated and soothed after cleansing. The brand has several types of toners, I happened to try this one and I really like it. I find its texture quite interesting, as it’s not so runny but it feels a bit like an essence or a serum, it’s like a very liquid gel, if that makes sense and I think that this unique texture makes it feel even more moisturising. It’s great on a hot day or evening, it’s refreshing and calming and that’s a second product from the brand that I fall in love with.

The lip product that I can’t stop wearing at the moment comes from Marimekko for Clinique and it’s the Pop Splash in 03 Sorbet Pop. I love Clinique skincare, I love their makeup range, as well and lip products are probably my favourite out of their colour line. They just seem to know how to do the formulation right. It’s always fragrance-free and non-irritating, it feels smooth, non-sticky and hydrating. And when you combine the perfect formula with the iconic, colourful patterns of Finnish design house Marimekko, you get a limited edition collection that makes it hard for you to choose what to pick, they just all look so beautiful. I’m a big fan of the Clinique Pop family and I think the Pop Splash was the only member I was missing. It’s essentially a lip gloss but even those who don’t like lip glosses might actually love this one. I certainly do. My shade Sorbet Pop is quite opaque (there are some that are more sheer and there’s something for everyone, from nude tones to berries and reds) and it’s a warm shimmery caramel nude that doesn’t sit glittery on the lips. It just makes them look a bit more plump. I’m quite surprised that it stays longer on my lips than I thought a gloss would and the colour doesn’t fade away that quickly. The best part is that it feels moisturising, thanks to the watermelon, lentil and apple fruit extracts. For me, that’s the best summer lip product and the packaging is stunning, as well, retro and modern at the same time.

A mix of travel-friendly and sun protection products, these are my beauty favourites for the month of June. What have you been loving in the past few weeks?

Empties #10

20161103_112150postAs I always end up collecting way too many empty products and writing a novel about them, this time I decided to make it quite simple. There are just a couple of make-up items and the rest is skincare and body products.

Make-up
Maybelline ColourSensational Shine Gloss in 610 Naked Star – Actually, I couldn’t finish this gloss and it has expired but I liked it because it wasn’t a sticky one and looked nice on its own or on top of lipsticks;
Clinique Airbrush Concealer in 04 Neutral Fair – One of my favourite concealers, it’s supposed to be brightening and it really does illuminate quite nicely but I also used it to cover up some imperfections around the face and it does great job at this, as well. I think I need the full size of it now;

Skincare
Balea Purifying Mask – That’s a great budget clay mask and I already got another sachet. It comes in a 2-pack and one sachet contains a lot of product, so I always end up using it twice (don’t ask how I close the sachet that is once opened) but it makes my skin soft and radiant;
KICKS Clearing Mud Mask – This is probably my favourite KICKS face mask, they released four a few months ago and this one is already used up. It doesn’t dry out my skin but it purifies and leaves it smooth and glowy;
Sephora Pearl Face Mask – I love Sephora sheet masks, they are so relaxing and heavenly-scented. This one is brightening and moisturising and it’s one of my most purchased ones from the brand;
Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask – I used about three packs of this face mask because it’s so popular at the moment and I really wanted to like it. It smells amazing and feels cooling but it wasn’t really hydrating on my skin and I have combination skin. Also, it leaves my face quite wet and feels sticky even after massaging in what’s left from the serum;
Clinique Smart Custom-Repair Serum – This small tube didn’t last much, so I couldn’t see if it really firms and repairs the skin but it felt soothing and moisturising;
Neal’s Yard Remedies Beauty Sleep Concentrate – Another travel size serum that I tried. Feels like rich cream but at the same time it’s light when applied and doesn’t make my skin more oily than it is, it doesn’t break me out and I wake up to radiant and healthy skin;
Neal’s Yard Remedies White Tea Facial Mist – I used this one before going to bed because the scent is really relaxing. It’s calming and moisturising although the way the spray works is quite heavy and that is probably the only thing I didn’t like about it;
REN Flash Defence Anti-Pollution Mist – Really missing this one. I used to spray it multiple times throughout the day. The mist is very fine, it hydrates the skin, it’s refreshing and also gives protection against the environmental aggressors. I’ve done a full review on it here;
Balea Almond Blossom Extract Toner – It’s suitable for dry and sensitive skin and although mine is combination, I quite liked this toner. It has a nice and light scent and it doesn’t strip my skin;
Ziaja Sensitive Micellar Water – This is my second bottle of this budget micellar water. It contains no parabens, alcohol and perfume, feels gentle on the skin and removes make-up quite well;
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion + – I have a travel size of this moisturiser whenever I travel because it never lets me down. Clinique moisturisers are some of my favourite ones anyway but this one works perfect when I’m away because it gives me the right amount of hydration without breaking me out and without being too rich and heavy on the skin;

Body and Hair
Yves Rocher Lotus Flower Shower Gel – The brand has incredible scents and this body wash proves it one more time, it’s delicate and beautiful. Also, I love the lightweight packaging;
Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gioia Moisturising Perfumed Body Lotion – My summer body lotion. Feels very light on the skin but hydrates it really well and is also beautifully-scented;
Balea MED Sensitive Shampoo – During autumn, my scalp gets a bit irritated. This year is actually even worse, so I’ve been looking for a gentle shampoo. I’ve heard good things about the medical line from Balea and decided to give this one a go. It is supposed to be for sensitive scalp but it didn’t do much for my irritated skin, unfortunately;
COLAB Sheer + Invisible New York Dry Shampoo – I should have taken more minis when I was in London because I really like this dry shampoo, I’ve talked about it many times on the blog;
Balea Hand Cream for very dry skin – This was one of my handbag hand creams. It smells very nice, takes a couple of minutes to absorb but doesn’t feel sticky or greasy.

This is everything I’ve used up in the past few weeks and I’m quite happy I don’t have the huge pile I normally collect before sharing my experience with the products.

Shopping my Mum’s Stash #2

20160726_115844post

Last year, I showed you some of mum’s favourite beauty products (link). This summer, I decided to turn this into (hopefully) a tradition and share with you some more of her make-up and skincare items. Both of us love our beauty rituals and it’s always interesting for me to see what she loves and trusts.

Mum has dry skin and she’s using different types of hydrating make-up removers but at the moment, she’s enjoying the Declaré Gentle Cleansing Milk with Linden Extract. She says it’s very gentle but also great for taking off make-up and leaving the skin soft and nourished. She has been using a lot of Declaré products lately and I’m curious to try something from the Swiss brand, too.

Mum’s current day serum of choice is the Shiseido Ibuki Softening Concentrate which she applies after cleansing her face in the morning. She raves about it all the time, she loves it almost as much as her beloved Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronised Recovery Complex II. The product is formulated without parabens, phthalates and sulfates and gives a lot of moisture to the skin. It’s also designed to enhance the benefits of the following skincare products in the routine. Mum says that it’s a fantastic make-up base, as well and feels very nice on her dehydrated skin.

The night cream that she’s using at the moment is the Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins Mineral-Enriched Renewal Cream and it was a gift from me because I’ve seen many good reviews on this cream, she needed a new moisturiser and that’s how she got it. Now she’s loving it and I can’t wait to get a jar for myself. The cream smells amazing, it feels very rich but without being heavy and makes the skin look brighter and plumper.

Mum is a big fan of tinted moisturisers and their skincare benefits. In the past few months she’s been using a lot the L’Oreal Skin Perfection Anti-Fatigue Eye Cream for the under eye area and the Garnier Miracle Skin Cream Anti-Ageing Skin Transforming Care SPF 20 for the whole face. The eye cream is enriched with Vitamin C and Caffeine and helps to conceal dark circles, it also makes you look more awake and fresh. Mum is still using a concealer on top but she says the cream provides a good base and the skin looks better with each use. I’m pretty sad that the Garnier tinted moisturiser looks too pink and dark on me, it looks much better on my mum, plus, her skin seems so luminous when she’s wearing it and I always ask what her foundation is when she has this product on. It just evens out her skin tone but still looks natural and pretty.

When I was going through her lipstick drawer, I was surprised by how the most-worn one by her was a really affordable one. But then I saw the shade and remembered that we got the same last year when we were together and I’m using it a lot, as well. The Essence Longlasting Lipstick in 05 Cool Nude is a beautiful muted rosy shade with beige undertones and it looks really nice on many skin tones. You can see it swatched in my Love for Nude Lipsticks post here.

I had to feature a product loved by the whole family, including my dad and it’s the Elizabeth Arden Fragrance Free Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant. This award-winning multi-purpose moisturiser doesn’t really need an introduction because everybody knows how it protectes, soothes, moisturises and saves the skin. And we all love it!

I always enjoy taking a peek in mum’s beauty stash and I already have a few new products on my wishlist!

London Beauty Haul | Spring 2016

DSC_0088post DSC_0089post DSC_0094postWhen I’m lucky to go to London, I always have a list with beauty purchases that I’d like to make. It’s pretty easy to find high-end brands in Norway but there are so many high-street gems in the UK and only there that I have to admit, I feel jealous. Plus, they always have amazing offers and you end up getting a lot for half price or even for free. So, here’s what I found mainly in Boots and Superdrug.

Skincare
I really wanted to try the new Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Jelly Moisturiser with Extract of Berry as I like a few products from the original series but they had a 3 for 2 going on, so I also picked up the matching Refreshing Jelly Facial Wash and the Body Scrub.
Superdrug also had some interesting-looking new skincare products and I stocked up on their famous Simply Pure Hydrating Serum for sensitive skin, the Clearly Youthful Triple Action Cleanser/Mask/Scrub with AHAs and BHAs and the Naturally Radiant Glycolic Overnight Peel with Plant Extracts. I just can’t wait to try these skincare products, everyone raves about them!
I’ve never tried the La Roche-Posay‘s Serozinc and I’ve heard so many positive reviews on it that I had to get a bottle of it. I love face mists and I hope this will be great on my combination skin. Speaking of mists, I was looking for the L’Occitane Perfecting Mist with Peony Extract for weeks and I’m really happy I finally found it. Another La Roche-Posay product that I wanted to try was the Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser and although I wasn’t sure if I needed another cleanser at that moment, it had such a big discount that I couldn’t help myself.
A few of the LUSH stores attracted me with their colourful displays and I had to take some of their soaps, they just smell amazing! I also picked up the Mint Julips Lip Scrub because my lips were pretty dry after the flights and their Bubblegum Lip Scrub is a favourite of mine, so I decided to try this one.
On the way back, I noticed this cute little set from Neal’s Yard Remedies at the airport and since I’ve always been curious about the brand, I decided to take it. It contains a sachet of their Rejuvenating Frankincense Refining Cleanser and minis of their White Tea Facial Mist, White Tea Enriching Facial Mask, Wild Rose Beauty Balm and Beauty Sleep Concentrate. Seems like a great skincare travel set.

Make-up
Skincare and body products are the ones I tend to get more of when I travel somewhere and once again, the make-up purchases aren’t that many but they’re still pretty exciting to me. I believe we now have the Max Factor Creme Puff Blushes in Norway but I saw so many girls picking them up in London that I took one to try, I fell in love with it and came back for two more. The ones I have are in 15 Seductive Pink, 30 Gorgeous Berries and 10 Nude Mauve. If you haven’t tried them, you should, they are stunning and I regret not trying them before but better late than never.
When I went to London last year, the Collection Eyes Uncovered palettes were sold out everywhere. This time, I managed to find a couple of them but I still couldn’t get my hands on all I wanted. Still, I’m happy I saw them in Nude and Nude Rose but they should protect them somehow, considering how easy it is to open them. You could see fingerprints on most of the palettes although they were not testers which isn’t very pleasant.
Make-up fixing sprays were never something that I was drawn to but I’m always curious when a drugstore brand creates a product that is believed to be a high-end territory. And L’Oreal Infallible Fixing Mist is indeed a great product, I used it a few times and my make-up looked much better than usual at the end of the day.
Maybelline Lash Sensational was basically thrown into my basket by the lady working at Superdrug because of the offers they had and I thought it was finally time for me to try this hyped up mascara.
The purchase of Soap and Glory Archery 2-in-1 Brow Filling Pencil and Brush is standard for me, it’s my favourite eyebrow pencil, I can’t find it anywhere else, so I picked up a few of them because my mum loves it, as well.
My plans involved a lot of Rimmel purchases but at the end I found only two items I wanted. Rimmel Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush in 010 Santa Rose is a beautiful and natural-looking shade, I think it would be great for spring and summer. Plus, it’s so tiny and perfect for travelling.
I’ve always been a fan of Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder but I never had it in 001 Transparent, so this was the time to pick it up.

Body and Hair
Body washes are something I really love and have to have tons of because I use them up quite quickly. Original Source Limited Edition Wild Cherry and Nettle Body Wash and Imperial Leather Summer Days Nourishing Body Wash with Shea Butter & Honeysuckle are body washes that I haven’t seen and haven’t tried, they smelled amazing and I had to take them.
L’Occitane always have amazing and adorable sets and I picked up these hand cream miniatures Amande Delicious Hands with Almond Milk and Delightful Rose Hand Cream which are perfect to carry around in your bag.
Marie Claire had three different scents of Neal’s Yard Remedies hand creams in their May issue. I couldn’t track down the Garden Mint & Bergamot one but I got the Geranium & Orange Hand Cream and the Bee Lovely to Your Hands Hand Cream.
I really needed some hair treatments now that my hair is longer than ever, so I saw the new Garnier Ultimate Blends The Strength Restorer Serum with Honey Bee Propolis and because I like some of the products from the series, I decided to add it to my shopping basket. Also, TRESemmé Keratin Smooth 7 Day Smooth System Heat Activated Treatment has always been on my shopping list and I finally found it.
COLAB is now available in Norway and although it’s three times the price in the UK, it’s stil a bit easier to get it. However, there’s just a limited number of their products on the market here. I picked up a mini of the Sheer + Invisible New York Dry Shampoo, a full size Sheer + Invisible London Dry Shampoo and Extreme Volume Monaco Dry Shampoo and last but not least, the Luxe Shine Glossing Hair Fragrance which I’m incredibly curious about.

Nails
After picking up dozens of nail polishes last time, this time I limited myself to just one range and it had to be from Barry M. I got a couple of their new Coconut Infusion Nail Paint polishes the first day and then got back for two more and two more… The shades that I have are in Starfish, Sunkissed, Tiki Hut, Flamingo, Aloha, Surfboard and Bikini and I’m missing only two that complete the range.

Miscellaneous
Lottie London Soap Star Solid Brush Cleanser was in every girl’s shopping basket (sorry, girls, I’m always curious what is popular in the city) and it’s believed to be a dupe for the Beauty Blender Solid Cleanser. Many said that it’s even better!
I also picked up the Real Techniques 2 pack Miracle Complexion Sponges and as you can see one of them is already in use, I love this sponge and I’m a bit sad I didn’t pick up more. They are now available in Norway but we don’t have the 2 pack one.
Now, I never wear falsies but these Eylure Fleur de Force Fleur Loves Eyelashes looked so beautiful that I justified my purchase with: ”I can only get them here!”.

London is amazing for beauty shopping (and not only) and I’m looking forward to trying all these products!

Empties #8

DSC_1087post

I can’t believe that this is my first post with empty products for 2016! I’ve had so many new products to try, so many things to write about that somehow my empties kept growing without me realising it. So, let’s have a look at all of them…this might actually be a pretty long post.

DSC_1089post
Face
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder – I always go back to this powder, I love it, it keeps me matte but doesn’t look flat, it’s great, it’s from the drugstore and this was probably my 6th pot of it;
MAC Mineralise Skinfinish Natural in Medium Plus – Another favourite of mine, I actually got it in a darker shade, so that I could use it as a bronzer because it really looked natural and not too dark;
Max Factor Lipfinity – Liquid lipsticks really aren’t my thing. I love this shade which sadly, isn’t written on the tube and I forgot the name of it but it’s a gorgeous deep pink colour. However, the texture is quite heavy, it dries out my lips, it’s impossible to remove and at some point it just peels off. I admit that I’m throwing this away without actually using up the product;
Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer in 201 Solstice – This on the other hand, oh my, I love this lip lacquer and I’m very sad it’s over because we don’t have Rimmel in Norway! The shade is beautiful, the texture isn’t of a liquid lipstick, isn’t of a lip gloss, it’s something in between, lacquer describes it really well, actually. It has a shine but it’s thicker than a gloss, it’s not drying like the liquid lipsticks are, it doesn’t last a really long time on the lips but feels comfortable, looks flattering and I’ll be definitely repurchasing;
Maybelline ColourSensational in 130 Peach Juice – I don’t know what I was thinking when I got this lipstick, maybe it just looked different in the store and their low lighting but it’s definitely not a peach shade, it’s bright pink and I could make it work pairing it with other lipsticks but I didn’t reach out for it often and it started smelling funny, so it’s time to say goodbye;
Urban Decay Perversion Mascara – Although this mascara has bristle brush, which I normally don’t go for, I really liked it especially because it made my lashes really black and separated without making them crispy;
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water – Another bottle is gone and I already have a few new ones, this micellar water just gently removes the major part of my make-up before cleansing and toning my face;
LUSH Tea Tree Water – It was not a bad one but I can make my own tea tree toner really easy and that’s why I don’t think I’d repurchase;
Estelle & Thild Facial Toner Neroli – Love the brand, loved how gentle this toner was, sadly, it has been discontinued, I believe;
Balea Lotus Eye Cream – One of my favourite affordable eye creams. It’s hydrating but feels light, it’s not stingy and makes my under eye area really soft;
Simple Revitalising Eye Roll-On – Eye product for the warmer months that has a nice cooling effect and non-sticky gel formula;
Eucerin DermoPURIFYER Active Concentrate – That was the first time I tried this product from my favourite Eucerin range and I loved it. It’s basically a serum with lactic acid that kept me blemish-free but without drying out the face and made my skin incredibly soft;
La Roche-Posay Effaclar K – This tube lasted me a really long time because I used the product only as an additional step when I had really bad breakouts to help the healing process and it was really nice. I think it has a new formula now and I’m curious to try it;
Biotherm Aquasource Cocoon – I love the way Biotherm products smell and this face cream gave me the needed moisture in the winter months but without making me oily and without being heavy on my combination skin. It feels quite rich and balmy but sinks into the skin quickly and leaves it hydrated. Really liked it as a make-up base, as well;
Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser – At first, I was a bit scared of this cleanser because it felt heavy and too foamy but I quite enjoyed it after that. It wasn’t stripping but it was also good for the shine control. However, I’m trying to use another type of cleansers at the moment and I won’t be getting another tube of it;
Formula 10.0.6 One Smooth Operator – Same applies for this exfoliant. I didn’t mind it when I was using it but now that it’s been so many months after I used it up, I think it might be a bit too harsh for my skin.
Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask – A favourite! Already have a new tube of this amazing face mask and I don’t think I can be without it;
Biotherm Lip Balm – This was a random purchase, I got it from an airport because I needed a lip balm but I didn’t like it so much. Maybe it can be better as an overnight treatment though;
Eco Lips Berry Lip Balm SPF 15 – An organic balm that smells really nice and has amazing moisturising properties, I loved it;
Sephora Green Tea Eye Mask – I’m really sad that there are no Sephora stores in Norway, I adore their masks, they are so calming, refreshing and nourishing;
Beauty Formulas Deep Cleansing Nose Pore Strips – Ok, I know this isn’t the best thing for your skin but I have an addiction;
MaskerAide Detox Diva and Beauty Rest’ore Sheet Masks – I saw these masks at the drugstore a few weeks ago, they looked fun and they had a lot of promises on the packaging, so I picked out two of them. I have to say, I really liked them and I honestly can’t wait to try more, they were so relaxing, they left my skin soft and radiant. I’m also curious about the eye masks from the brand.

Body
Ziaja Lime-Citrus Shower Gel – Ziaja have some amazing body washes and although I like their Orange Butter one more, this one felt really fresh and nice, too;
Dove Purely Pampering Almond Cream Body Wash – Looking at the empty bottle of this, I wonder why I haven’t purchased a new one yet. It has a lovely warm scent, soft and creamy texture and I really enjoyed using this body wash;
All Nature Angelica and Argan Oil Shower Gel – This one smelled a bit like candy but without being too sweet, it was nice and non-drying;
Sante Grenadine Spirit Shower Gel – My favourite winter body wash, reminds me of Christmas and I’d like to try more from the brand;
Balea Fresh Smoothie Shower Gel – To me this one smelled like green apples although the packaging said otherwise, I like Balea body washes because they just seem fun and they have tons of different scents;
Balea Buttermilk & Lemon Peeling – Another product with a nice scent, to me this smells like lemon drizzle cake but the exfoliating properties weren’t that great, unfortunately;
Sanctuary SPA White Lily & Damask Rose Body Scrub – Same applies for this scrub, it just didn’t do anything but I loved the fragrance;
– Sanctuary SPA White Lily & Damask Rose Body Lotion – Not the most moisturising body lotion but again, my favourite Sanctuary SPA scent;
Soap & Glory Scrub + Happiness Hand Scrub – I got this mini in a set and it lasted me a really long time, it does a great job at exfoliating the hands without being too harsh and smells like all Soap & Glory products, sweet and nice;
CD Pomegranate Deo – It turns out it’s really hard to find aluminum-free deodorants, so I was really happy to get this one, I liked the gentle scent and I’d definitely purchase another one;
Lancome La Vie Est Belle – I have so much love for this fragrance… It reminds me of London, brings back great memories, it’s feminine and elegant but a bit sweet, as well, it’s just lovely;
Cutex Nourishing Nail Polish Remover – There isn’t any nail polish remover that can compete with my favourite Lilly one but this one wasn’t bad. It actually leaves a nice scent even after washing the hands, it feels soft and non-drying and I’d repurchase if I can’t find my favourite one;
Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream – This mini tin lasted me such a long time, I really like this product to soften my cuticles and also nourish my nails and the skin around them;
Origins Rejuvenating Hand Cream – An underrated hand cream that isn’t greasy but hydrates really well, I liked it a lot;
L’Occitane Immortelle Brightening Hand Cream SPF 20 – I used to pair this hand cream with another one because it wasn’t the most moisturising one, I think it’s good for spring and autumn but for the colder months, I needed a second one. However, L’Occitane hand creams are some of my favourites;
Baby Foot Easy Pack – This is a very strange product for me although, many people use it a lot. First of all, it’s quite pricey for just one pair of plastic socks and that put me off at the beginning but then I had problems in the winter and decided to give it a go. It really made the skin of my feet incredibly soft and smooth but during the two weeks of waiting for all the dead skin to peel off… it was just looking and feeling very unpleasant. But I have to say, I’d do it again because the results were amazing.

Hair
L’Oreal Ever Sleek No Sulphates Smoothing & Intensely Nourishing Shampoo – Loved this shampoo, it made my hair shiny, soft and smelling so nice;
Swiss O’ Par Tea Tree Oil Shampoo – This is my purifying shampoo that I use once a week and many people hate the smell of it. I don’t mind it and I love how clean my hair gets with it;
All Nature Thyme & Rosemary Shampoo – That was my previous clarifying shampoo which I liked, too. It just made my hair clean and shiny, with a lot of volume;
COLAB Tokyo Dry Shampoo – A dry shampoo that needs to be sprayed a few hours before you go out or the night before to actually notice a difference but it really refreshes the hair and gives it a bit of volume without leaving white residue or sticky feel. I’m really happy that the brand is now available in Norway but the price is 3 times higher than in the UK, sadly;
Dove Intensive Repair Hair Mask – I love Dove hair products and this was no exception, a nice nourishing mask;
Mark Hill Big Night Out Detox Gloss Treatment – This was a random purchase but I quite liked the product, it really made my hair shiny and beautiful and smelled amazing.

These are my first empties for 2016, hope you could find something helpful in the lines above!
