Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Shampoo

Whenever I see a product that promises to keep my hair clean longer, I’m up for testing it out. I’ve always wanted to try something from Living Proof, so when I saw their Perfect Hair Day Shampoo a couple of months ago, I picked it up without hesitating.

This is a sulphate-free shampoo that claims to smooth, volumise, condition, strengthen and polish the hair. It also should make the hair feel cleaner for longer period of time, so that it gets washed less often. The brand says the shampoo is suitable for all hair types, as well as for colour-treated hair.

First of all, I like the way the bottle looks but I have to say, it’s not the most comfortable one to use. It’s somehow hard to dispense the amount of product I need. But on the plus side, it’s very sturdy and doesn’t leak. I like the way it smells although many people hate it, I don’t think the scent is too overpowering or unpleasant.

I always wash my hair twice, usually my hair is pretty long and I use up shampoos really quickly. I thought this shampoo wouldn’t last me a long time but I was surprised. I don’t need much to get a pretty rich for a sulphate-free shampoo lather that cleanses my scalp and hair but without leaving it stripped. It feels purifying but mild at the same time, it also has this light pearlescent texture and gives me volume and shine. My hair is quite thick and coarse and I noticed that this shampoo tames the frizz, as well and leaves my hair feeling a bit softer.

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Shampoo does make my hair feel cleaner for a bit longer, just I have this habit of washing it every other day. I use dry shampoo occasionally but for me, nothing beats the feeling of freshly washed hair. I even used to wash my hair every single day, I just love washing my hair often and I’m not one of those “second day hair is best” girls. And now I feel like washing it even more often because I love how my hair feels and looks with this shampoo, it is now one of my favourites and I’m really happy it’s sulphate-free. It’s a bit pricey, especially knowing I use up shampoos quite quickly but I think it’s totally worth it.

If you’re looking for a purifying but caring sulphate-free shampoo, ask for a sample or get a mini maybe. I love how shiny, clean and volumised my hair looks with it and I just wish they would do something about the packaging in future, as it’s a bit hard to get the product out of it.
