My Summer Perfumed Body Lotion

Me and my family have a thing for Armani fragrances. All of us, including my boyfriend, have a few of them and luckily, none are repeating. I still remember the first time when I got City Glam for my brother, it was more than 10 years ago and we were all really sad when it got discontinued.

For me, the brand’s scents for women are such with a bit more sweet notes and another group with a bit more fresh notes. For example, I adore their  range, while my mum is more into the Diamonds one. However, we both love Acqua di Gioia, Air di Gioia and Sun di Gioia because they are just perfect for the summer. I was really happy to get introduced to the scented body care because I already have Armani‘s Sì Body Lotion and I was curious about the rest.

Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gioia Perfumed Body Lotion* has notes of Mint, Brown Sugar, Jasmine, Peony, Pink Pepper, Cedarwood and Labdanum and this combination turns it into my current favourite summer body lotion. I was pleasantly surprised to see that this one doesn’t contain mineral oil (the  body lotion, for example, contains mineral oil) and is rich in Avocado Oil, Olive Oil and Meadowfoam Seed Oil. Once it’s applied on the skin, the lotion absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy residue. Feels light and a bit cooling on the skin, while making it soft and hydrated. I love the fragrance that it leaves, it’s fresh, feminine, sensual, dreamy, warm, breezy…it’s the scent of summer. It also lasts pretty long time on body and clothes and keeps the skin moisturised.

The 200 ml bottle is going to last a really long time, so I can extend the summer feeling and enjoy it even throughout September. Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gioia Perfumed Body Lotion* is light, yet moisturising and beautifully-scented lotion that can be used on its own or layered with the perfume. Both ways, it’s a lovely and quite special body moisturiser that will now always take me back to those warm summer nights…

  1. I have a thing for DIOR perfumes so maybe this is why I haven’t thought to try Armani! Now that you’ve mentioned, I am intrigued so I will have a look next time I’m out!
