Face Masks on Rotation

What better day to pamper your skin than Sunday?

I noticed that two of my face mask favourites never change but there are always some new ones that I’m trying, so I decided to share with you the five face masks I’ve been using the most in the past few months.

My two heroes are definitely the hydrating Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask (review here) and the purifying Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask (here). I absolutely adore Origins face masks, the first one gives me the exact amount of moisture I need without making my combination skin greasy and the charcoal one is amazing for the T-zone. Sometimes I’d use the Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask and then apply the Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask, wait 5 minutes, tissue off the excess and on the next day my skin is soft, smooth, hydrated and radiant.

I believe Sanctuary SPA 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask has a new look now but the product inside is the same. This face mask is for the days when I need something quick because it takes only 5 minutes for it to do its job and it’s much easier to wash off than the Origins charcoal one. It’s a self-heating mask, so there’s a warm feel to it during the application to open the pores and draw out impurities but it goes cooler a few seconds later. It’s quite a nice feeling, actually and then my skin is somehow soothed and purified at the same time.

Freeman face masks have been on my wishlist for such a long time and when I finally saw them and thought I was going to get the ones I wanted, they were sold out. So, at the end I took their Facial Purifying Acai Clay Mask and I have to say, it’s not bad but it’s not my favourite one. It goes on really smoothly, washes off easily, brightens my skin but for some reason, it makes my eyes watery and irritated although I don’t apply it near my eyes, at all. Also, the tube cracked a bit, so I want to use it up as quickly as possible because it’s a pretty big one and I like the effect but probably wouldn’t repurchase it.

I’ve been using the JorgObé Peel Off Mask for about half a year now, it’s a very popular product in the Nordic countries, it’s basically an intense black peel off mask. I apply a thin layer only on my T-zone (you have to be careful not to put it around the eyes or on any areas with hair) and leave it on for about 25-30 minutes, then I gently peel it off and wash off the excess bits of the product. My pores look smaller, the skin feels tighter and fresh, I love the result. I always follow with a moisturiser and the rest of my skincare routine. The mask contains no colours, parabens, mineral oil or silicone, it has ingredients like Black Kaolin Clay, Witch Hazel and Echinacea to cleanse and reduce pores and to prevent the spread of infections and bacteria.

These are the face masks I’ve been using a lot in the past few months, have you tried any of them?
