Cleansing oils, face oils, hair oils, body oils…I love them all! If you’ve been a reader of my blog for a while, you’d know that oils are an essential part of my body- and skincare routine and I’ve dedicated many blog posts to them.
Elizabeth Arden is a brand famous for their multi-purpose Eight Hour Cream and now they are adding a new family member to the cult classic. It’s the Eight Hour Cream All-Over Miracle Oil* that has a new oil formulation for use on face, body and hair. I’ve been using Elizabeth Arden‘s body lotions and body creams for years after my mum fell in love with them, so I was really curious about this new product.
The moisturising ingredients feature Tsubaki Oil that is rich in Omega 6 and 9 fatty acids to nourish, soothe and protect the skin, Grape Seed Oil, Ginger Root Extract to improve the skin’s texture, Boswellia Resin which is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, Vitamin E, Olive, Avocado and Sunflower Seed Oils, plus Rosemary Extract.
When I first received the oil to try it, the weather in Norway was still pretty cold and snowy, so I didn’t waste any minute and immediately applied it. It felt very calming and nourishing while the fresh and light scent was really uplifting. The oil sinks into the skin quickly, leaves it soft and gives a healthy glow to it.
I have combination skin, so I try to avoid using multi-purpose products on my face but I did apply it on my neck and it felt really hydrating and smooth without being too oily. It needs just a couple of minutes to fully absorb and doesn’t leave any unpleasant or sticky feel.
As to my hair, I prefer to use the oil when it’s still damp after washing and to apply a really small amount of the product because if it’s a bit too much, the hair might stick together and look a bit greasy. Usually, I use a spritz of the product and warm it between the palms of my hands. Then I gently apply the oil onto the ends of my hair which makes it shiny and soft.
If you’ve seen my Instagram page, you’d know that this bottle doesn’t look so full anymore. I use it all the time, after morning or evening shower, I can just get dressed right after applying it and I’m good to go. There’s no sticky feeling, or any stains, while my skin is nourished and soothed.
Love taking the Eight Hour Cream All-Over Miracle Oil* away with me when I travel because I can basically use only one moisturising product for my hair and body. The bottle is travel-friendly, it’s light and doesn’t get oily around the top, so you won’t end up spilling half of the product in your bag.
This oil would be a great moisturiser not only in the winter but throughout all the seasons because it feels light and at the same time incredibly nourishing. It gives a healthy glow to the skin and soothes it if it’s irritated.
Have you tried Elizabeth Arden‘s Eight Hour Cream All-Over Miracle Oil* and what’s your experience?
