Nude lipsticks can work for any look, they give life to the face, they make us look a bit more polished, they are effortlessly chic. My favourite nude lipstick shades are a mixture of high-end and more affordable ones, they don’t wash me out but they are not too colourful and overpowering. Of course, these lipsticks work well on my skin tone but may be too light or too dark on others.
I’ve confessed my love for the Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer lipsticks and especially for their brighter shades many times but in the past few weeks, I’ve fallen in love with 23 Blush Pop*. It’s a nude brown shade with a hint of pink and I think this is my favourite winter nude lipstick colour because it’s a bit deeper than the others. The formula is incredibly creamy and nourishing, another plus during the colder months.
Excuse me for featuring a limited edition product but 20 Pi(n)k-Mauve from Alverde is such a pretty dusty rose shade with brown undertones that I had to mention it. It feels balmy on the lips and in case you’d like to see the full review, it’s here.
The next shade is a bit more rosy with mauve undertones and many people say that it’s a dupe for MAC Syrup. Essence Longlasting Lipstick in the shade 07 Natural Beauty doesn’t last so long on the lips but it’s really pretty, feels comfortable and you can find it at the drugstore.
Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in 94 Confident looks pretty intense in the bullet but once it’s applied, it looks and feels more like a tinted lip balm. It’s really buttery and adds a sophisticated vintage rose tint to the lips. That’s the most lightweight out of all lipsticks mentioned here and definitely, one of my all-time favourites.
Another Essence Longlasting Lipstick but from their Nude range is 05 Cool Nude. It’s a muted rosy shade with a bit of beige undertones. I can’t describe how beautiful it looks and how much I love this shade.
MAC Patisserie is a peachy pinky brown colour, I always find it hard to describe this shade but I adore it. The only thing that I don’t like about it is the amount of shimmer, it’s a bit too glittery for my taste but the actual shade is one of the best for me.
Last but not least, the newest addition to my favourite nude lipsticks, NARS Audacious in Anita (review here). It’s muted medium pink with warm undertones and it almost doesn’t fit into the group because of the intense pigmentation of the colour. I really wish NARS products were available in Norway, as it’s really hard to get them here but I’d love to get my hands on more of these lipsticks.
