I feel like Clinique have been releasing new lip products every week in the past few months! They recently introduced their limited edition Days of the Week Lipstick Gift Set, they added new shades to the Long Last Lipstick range and the Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer one, plus the new Quickliner for Lips Intense lip liners were released. Today, I’m sharing with you more about the last two new releases.
I was kindly sent 5 of the 8 new Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer shades and it was really nice to see such variety of nudes, pinks and berries, especially considering how many beautiful shades are already part of the range!
As you know, Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer lipsticks are gathering rich colour, smoothing primer and hydrating properties in one. I’ve already shared more about the formula here, so today I will just tell you a few words about the new shades which apply the same way and feel just as comfortable and balmy as the first ones.
The shades that I have are: 19 Party Pop* which is a beautiful bright pink that instantly gives life to the face, 21 Rebel Pop*, a gorgeous dark burgundy shade with really fine golden shimmer, 22 Kiss Pop* is another bright but this time fuchsia pink, 23 Blush Pop* which is a nude brown with a hint of pink and 24 Raspberry Pop*, a beautiful medium berry shade. I’d recommend checking these out if you’re a lover of the Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer range like me because the colours are gorgeous and the texture is smooth as butter.
I’m also excited to share with you the new Quickliner for Lips Intense lip pencils because they’re meant to complement the Lip Pop shades, with each pencil suiting two shades from the lipstick range. There’s no sharpening required, as they are twist up liners (note that they don’t twist down, so that the texture doesn’t dry out…clever idea!), they’re really long-lasting, so they can be used to extend the life of the lipstick or just to prevent it from bleeding, they’re pretty soft and glide on smoothly and they give an intense colour payoff. I wear them on their own with a bit of lip balm on top for a satin finish or paired with some of the lipsticks.
On to the shades: 04 Intense Cayenne* is kind of an orange red shade, 05 Intense Passion*, a bright red, 07 Intense Blush*, a nude brown and 09 Intense Jam* is my personal favourite because it’s a wonderful berry shade that’s pretty unique in my opinion. I believe there are 6 shades in total that are available in the Nordic countries.
If you’re looking for a non-drying, really pigmented and very, very long-lasting lip liner, just swatch some of these at your local beauty boutique and you’ll see for yourself how lovely they are.
Have you tried any of these new lip products and what’s your favourite one?
I’m already excited for 2016 and all the upcoming beauty launches!
