More and more people share that their skin is sensitive. Sensitive skin can be red, itchy, dry, irritated and feeling tight. In the colder months our skin suffers a lot: low temperatures outside, dry air inside, heating at home. It’s very important to take good care of our face and body all year round but to give this extra drop of moisture to the skin in the autumn and winter.
Weleda are famous for their natural cosmetic products free from synthetic preservatives, fragrances and chemicals. They already have an Almond Soothing Care range with face products suitable for sensitive skin but now they’re adding body care to the line. I’m very happy I had the opportunity to try two of the new products because natural cosmetics have a significant part in my everyday care and Weleda‘s launches are always exciting.
As most of you probably know, Almond Oil‘s structure is very similar to the outer lipid layers of our skin, so the skin absorbs it really well. The oil contains Vitamin E which is an antioxidant and unsaturated fatty acids that protect from water loss.
Weleda Bulgaria kindly sent to me the new Almond Sensitive Skin Body Wash* and the Almond Sensitive Skin Body Lotion* and both of the products have been part of my evening rituals in the past few weeks.
The Almond Sensitive Skin Body Wash* has a soap-free formula with organic Almond Oil, it’s pH balanced and also vegan. It has a very light creamy texture, creates a milky lather rather than being foamy. It feels incredibly gentle and soothing on the skin while leaving it clean and nourished.
After drying my skin, I apply the Almond Sensitive Skin Body Lotion* which is very smooth and light but feels rich when applied. It’s really calming, absorbs very quickly but leaves a soft and hydrating touch. Hours later, my skin still feels and looks moisturised without being sticky. I love that it comes with a pump because you can dispense the exact amount that you need.
Both of the products have similar scent to them, it’s like almond paste but very natural, not too sweet, not too overpowering, it’s really pleasant.
Once again, Weleda didn’t disappoint and I’ll keep relying on these products to keep my skin calm and nourished in the colder days.
If you’re looking for great botanical products that are also sustainably sourced, I’d highly recommend checking these out. I’m now curious to try the hand cream from the same range.
