If you want gorgeous bright lips that last all day, many would suggest you to take a look at the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet lipsticks. I owned only one of them because I was looking for a pretty red shade and then I picked up 01 Personne ne rouge (review here). However, I don’t go for a bright lip very often and that’s what stopped me from purchasing more of these lipsticks.
When I saw Nude-ist, I thought it would probably be the only nude shade in the collection and at first it seemed so. However, on my lips the situation was slightly different. In the tube and swatched on hand, this lipstick seems to be pink with brown undertones while on my lips it’s more of a muted raspberry. It’s not as bright as the rest of the shades in the range but it’s definitely not a natural or nude look on me. Then I learnt that this particular shade looks totally different on every girl who wears it. I like Nude-ist because it brings life to my face and I don’t have a similar shade in my collection.
The formula is different, too. While most of the other colours in the range go completely matte, this always feels a bit more creamy on the lips, it doesn’t dry to a matte finish and it does transfer. It still has great lasting power but it won’t be on your lips as long as the other shades from the range. I think this is a good one to try if you have more dry lips because it’s the most comfortable one of the collection to wear.
