Some people are already enjoying summer days while I’m still waiting for the spring to arrive here. Clouds don’t let the sunshine come through and it’s pouring rain but let’s not start so pessimistic. It’s time to take a look at the products that I’ve been using most often in the past few weeks.
There is only one skincare product because my main concern was the dehydration of my skin. It’s combination but also dehydrated and there were more and more dry patches appearing in the past month. The cold wind wasn’t helping either but luckily, my boyfriend’s favourite Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask did a great job for my skin. I use it just once a week but this mask not only does hydrate my skin in the night but it also keeps it moisturised for much longer.
I already shared with you here how much I like the Essence Nail Art Express Dry Drops and although it’s not a super special product, it’s been saving me a lot of time since I discovered it.
Although I don’t wear eyeshadows on a daily basis, there’s a combination of two that I’ve been loving lately. I use KIKO Eyeshadow in 130 all over the lid and then just add a little bit of the Essence I Love Nude in 05 My Favourite Tauping on the outer corner of the eyes. They’re not the best quality eyeshadows but they don’t crease on me and last a decent amount of time. Plus, if you have fair skin tone My Favourite Tauping works really well as a contour shade. It looks like a natural shadow and not like you’ve faked it with make-up.
In the past three weeks my favourite concealer has been without a doubt the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer (review here). I still think I’ll have to mix the shade that I have with some of the other ones for the perfect match but I’m pretty happy with Light Warm at the moment. The concealer feels light on the skin but has great pigmentation and coverage. It can also be used with other concealers without looking cakey.
My everyday lipstick shade for the past month or two has been pretty much MAC Plumful (review here). I love how you can sheer it out for a daytime appropriate look or build it up to get an opaque result. It’s comfortable to wear and makes you look vibrant and healthy, it’s just the perfect lipstick.
What have you been loving in the month of May?
