Catrice Cosmetics
recently launched new lipstick range called Luminous Lips. The brand can be found in drugstores in several countries, sadly, it’s not available in Norway. There are 14 shades from nudes and pinks to reds. Some of them have shimmer, some of them – don’t.

I picked two of the shades because some of the colours that I wanted were not available when my boyfriend visited Germany. They are 100 Me, My Macaron & I and 120 Wood Rose Propose?.

What caught my eye first was the packaging. It’s pretty, it’s heavy and sturdy and it doesn’t look cheap.

Both of the shades have creamy and light texture, it’s really comfortable to wear them because they feel hydrating. The finish is glossy with medium pigmentation that can be built up. The formula contains hyaluronic acid to plump the lips. They don’t last more than an hour on me but because they’re pretty balmy, it’s not a problem to reapply them.

100 Me, My Macaron & I contains silver shimmer but it’s not so obvious. The shade is a fuchsia pink one with purple tones and on the swatches that I saw it looked much more purple. It’s a bit disappointing because I wasn’t looking for such a bright pink shade but it does make me look more fresh and vibrant. I think it would look very elegant on pretty light skin tones.

120 Wood Rose Propose? has no shimmer in it (win!) and is a pretty everyday brown nude with a hint of peach. Looks sophisticated and is perfect for the days when you want to look a bit more polished without trying too hard.

Overall, I really like these lipsticks, I’ve been wearing 120 Wood Rose Propose? very often in the past few weeks and I’d get more shades if I’m near a Catrice counter.

Do you have any of the Catrice Luminous Lips lipstick shades?
