Oils, Oils, Oils…

I realised that oils have a huge part in my beauty routine. Face, body, hair oils, I’ve been loving them all and I didn’t even notice how much I’m actually using them. That’s why I decided to share with you some of my favourite oils at the moment.

The Cleansing Oil
AS.AP Cleansing Oil #5* is the most exquisite cleansing oil that I’ve tried, it’s suitable for all skin types, it removes all traces of make-up while the lovely formula nourishes and soothes your skin. I’ve done a full review on this cleansing oil, so if you’d like to have more detailed information, click here.

The Facial Oil
I’ve mentioned Clarins Lotus Face Treatment Oil so many times that it can only tell you how much I like it. This product has been part of my skincare routine for about a year now and there is a reason why. It balances my combination skin out, it makes it less angry, it soothes it and the herbal scent is very relaxing. You can see my review on it here but the difference now is that I use it every other evening after toning my face instead of just twice a week.
In the past months, I’ve had some dry patches appearing, probably it’s the cold weather in Norway, so I started using their Blue Orchid Oil as well but I’m going to share more about it in an upcoming post.

The Shower Oil
After using up another bottle of my favourite L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil, I fell in love with one by Rituals. It was already in an Empties post but I had to mention it because it’s just wonderful. Rituals have amazing body products and their Fortune Oil isn’t any different from this. It’s really light on the skin but creates luxurious and nourishing lather. The scent is more than lovely, it’s zesty but also spicy and warm.

The Body Oil
I’ve tried many body oils and I don’t think I’ve had a disappointing one but none of them was as relaxing as the Mirins Copenhagen Aromatherapy Calming Body Oil*. I have to admit that I use it only on weekends when I can really take the time to treat myself. It’s just a special product that I don’t want to waste on a normal day and I prefer to fully enjoy it rather than just quickly slap it on after a post-workout morning shower. It has Argan Oil in it and a relaxing blend of Lavender and Bergamot Essential Oils.

The Hair Oil
Couple of months ago I picked up the L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil for all hair types. I love the glass bottle although I can’t take it with me when I travel. The product has a blend of 6 flower oil extracts and smells wonderful. I’m a big fan of hair oils because I use them either as a mask before washing my hair or as a leave-in conditioner on a damp washed hair, or on the next day onto the ends of my hair if I want a little bit more shine to it. This is a very lightweight oil that makes my hair soft and easy to brush. My hair is pretty long but one pump of this oil is enough for me.

The Multi-Purpose Oil
Who doesn’t love a bit of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse? This product can be used on face, body and hair. I skip the face part because of my combination skin and because I’m pretty happy with my Clarins Lotus Oil but I love applying it on hair and body. It contains 6 plant oils and Vitamin E and some people even add it to their moisturisers or foundations for a dewy look and more hydrated skin. I love this mini bottle and I always refill it because it’s really handy to carry it around.

Do you have a favourite oil?
