March Favourites

It’s one of the first spring days but also one of the last days of March, so I decided the time for monthly favourites has come!

L’Occitane hand creams have always been some of my favourites and the reason why I love their Immortelle Brightening Hand Care is the fact that it’s lightweight but really nourishing. Plus, it has SPF 20, so it’s wonderful for the first rays of sun but when it’s still chilly and you need a hydrating hand cream.

There is a body product in my favourites and it comes from Rituals, a brand that creates great bath, body and home products with amazing scents. Their Fortune Scrub with Organic Mandarin and Yuzu is fresh and warm at the same time. It’s also a body wash because the scrub turns into a foaming cream on contact with water, it’s very gentle and leaves your skin soft.

I wanted to share with you two of my favourite face skincare products at the moment – a facial serum and a lip balm. They’re both natural and handmade, I’d be talking more about their brands soon because I think they deserve a lot more attention. It’s really charming and special when somebody puts so much effort and passion to create something like this.

The facial serum* is by Mirins Copenhagen and you’ve probably seen me posting pictures of some of their products on Instagram. The serum has base oils and essential oils in it. The base oils are Jojoba Oil and Apricot Kernel Oil, the essential oils are Lavender and Frankincense. The product is actually an oil but absorbs very quickly and doesn’t leave a greasy or sticky feeling. I use it in two ways: in the night, I use a couple of drops, I warm the product between the palms of my hands and apply it on cleansed and toned skin, then I apply my night moisturiser; in the morning, I mix a drop of the serum with my day cream and apply it on cleansed and toned skin. When seasons are changing my combination skin can get dry patches, in fact, it happened when I travelled to London last month and the serum was the product that helped me bring back my skin to its normal condition.

I’ve been using two AS.AP products in the past month and soon I’ll be sharing more about their fabulous cleansing oil but first I wanted to mention their Lip Balm #7 Vanilla and Lavender*. Mine actually doesn’t smell of lavender and vanilla, in fact, it smells of roses and I’m not sure what’s the reason but I love the scent. It’s delicate, sophisticated and simply gorgeous. It’s an incredibly lightweight lip balm but also, very hydrating. I apply a small amount of the product morning and evening and my lips are soft and nourished. The ingredients list may show you that this lip balm feels very soothing, too. It has Almond Oil, Unrefined Cocoa Butter, Beeswax, Unrefined Avocado Oil and Organic Honey – pure magic!

The only make-up product this month comes from Soap&Glory and it’s their Archery 2-in-1 Brow Filling Pencil and Brush in Hot Chocolate. It has a retractable pencil on one side and a brush on the other. It’s super skinny, so it gives you really good control and makes it easy to fill in your eyebrows. I’m struggling quite a bit with this part of my make-up routine but the pencil has made my life a bit easier.

Have you tried any of these products?
