Review: Maybelline SuperStay 7 Day Gel Nail Colour in Berry Stain

IMG_2481post

I finally got my hands one of the Maybelline SuperStay 7 Day Gel Nail Colour shades and it’s Berry Stain. I really wanted to get more from London but because they’re so popular, they never had many of them, so I picked just this one.

Berry Stain is supposed to be more of an autumn shade but I think you can pull it off any day of the year because it’s incredibly pretty and vibrant.

The applicator has a wide brush, similar to the Essie ones, so it’s really easy to work with it. Two swipes and the whole nail is covered. The consistency is not gloopy or too thick, it’s streak-free and even one coat looks beautiful but I apply two for a more opaque look.

The finish is super glossy even without a top coat. Now, to the lasting power…there isn’t a nail polish that lasts more than 4-5 days on my nails and this one isn’t an exception. It didn’t last 7 days but I didn’t actually expect it to. However, it’s not terribly chipping, it just wears off at the very top and sometimes you can’t even notice although the shade is a relatively dark one.

I think Berry Stain is such a versatile nail polish shade and I’m really pleased I chose this one. Which one is your favourite Maybelline SuperStay 7 Day Gel Nail Colour shade?
