Review: Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturiser

IMG_1851post IMG_1857post

I’ve been using this moisturiser for about 3 months now and since I enjoy using it, I decided to tell you why.

I really like Origins and their skincare but I’ve never tried the brand’s moisturisers before. It’s the first one and now I’m curious about one of their night creams.

Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturiser is like a fresh orange juice in the morning but for your skin. It literally smells of orange juice and wakes you up. The fresh zesty scent was the reason why I included it in my Post-party pick-me-ups post.

It’s a lightweight, oil-free moisturiser that I apply only in the day but it’s suggested to use it AM and PM. The texture is something between a gel and a sorbet if that makes sense. My skin literally drinks it up right after I apply it. The first few days of using the moisturiser, my combination skin looked pretty shiny. Luckily, it didn’t break me out but everything that looks ‘radiant’ or ‘dewy’ on other people, definitely looks oily on me. I was a bit scared of this but once my skin got used to the new product, everything was back to normal. It surprised me that it gave me the needed hydration through the whole day although it’s so light. If you have dry skin, you can still use it but probably paired with an oil. I recommend picking up a sample before buying it because it’s pricey. You need just a tiny bit though and it will last pretty long time. You can see that even after three months it looks as if I haven’t used it at all.

The formula is free from parabens, phthalates, mineral oil, synthetic colour and synthetic fragrance. Contains Panax Ginseng for brightening and Coffee Beans forย antioxidant age-fighting.

As a result, my skin feels fresh and looks brighter which helps me a lot in the gloomy winter days, plus the smell is so amazing that it wakes you up.

Have you tried any Origins moisturisers?
