My Moisturising Duo

I’ve mentioned the Eucerin day and night creams so many times, I’ve featured them separately in different posts but I realised I never made a proper review on them. I think they deserve it because they’ve been my favourite moisturising pair for a very long time, I’ve been using them for years and even if I’m trying new creams, I always go back to these two friends. First of all, I have combination skin and these two moisturisers are suitable for combination/oily and blemish-prone skin. The DermoPURIFYER range addresses the four skin care factors for oily and blemish-prone skin – disrupted skin cell shedding, excess sebum production, increased bacteria proliferation and irritation of the skin.

Eucerin DermoPURIFYER Hydrating Care is an oil and fragrance-free oil-in-water emulsion with soothing Licorice extract, anti-bacterial Decandiol and sebum-regulating Carnitine. It’s really lightweight, absorbs quickly and mattifies the skin a little bit. It’s light but it’s moisturising without being greasy. The consistency is something between a gel and cream, it’s not sticky and I really like it as a make-up base. This product comes with a pump, it’s really comfortable to get the amount needed and at the end you can get every single drop of it, there is nothing left in the tube that you have to scoop or to throw out half of the cream. For those who would like to have an SPF, there is also a DermoPURIFYER Adjunctive Hydrating Care SPF 30 that also has sebum-regulating, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Eucerin DermoPURIFYER Active Night Care is a highly effective oil-free formula containing Lactic Acid. Its follicle targeting system delivers Lactic Acid continuously throughout the night, opening the comedones and supporting the skin’s own regeneration. This cream is a little bit thicker and at first it may seem sticky but the feel disappears really quickly. I like that my face isn’t shiny on the next morning but it’s still hydrated. Before trying this cream, I was really scared of night moisturisers because they always broke me out, my face was very oily on the next day and it was unpleasant. So, if you have oily or combination skin, don’t be afraid of night creams, just take your time to find the one that’s best for you.

Have you tried this moisturising duo?
