It’s not only the end of the month but also the end of the year and today I’m sharing with you my favourite beauty products for December. There will be a post on 31st with products that I’ve been loving in 2014 and I’m really excited about it.
There was only one lip colour that I’ve been using in the past 4 weeks and it’s the Maybelline Colour Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil in 210 Keep it classy. I’m so happy that my family sent me this shade, I like the nude one as well but this deep pink is simply the perfect shade for the winter. It’s bold but it’s not making my face look washed-out. You can see my review on the lip pencils here.
Speaking of lip products, using a lip balm is very important for me. It’s an essential step in my skincare routine especially in the winter. Bobbi Brown Lip Balm SPF 15 (review here) and its delicate rose scent was my favourite in December. It hydrates my lips really well and lasts very long even after drinking and eating. It’s also very good to use lip balm before applying a matte lipstick. Just put it on when you start doing you make up, tissue off the excess and apply the matte lip colour, it glides easier and doesn’t dry out your lips.
I like the Maybelline Forever Strong Pro in Rose Poudré so much that I shared it in a separate post. Pretty shade suitable for all year round, easy application and dries quickly, what more could I want? Maybe more of the shades…
Moving on to body products and this month I have two favourites. a shower foam and a body butter. I’m in love with the Kneipp Shower Foam because it has a fresh floral scent of white hibiscus and it doesn’t only leave your skin clean but it’s also a moisturiser. The moisturising qualities come from the shea butter added to the formula.
The body butter is a mini and it was part of a set. I love… Strawberries & Cream smells delicious and hydrates the skin for the whole day. It’s not the best body butter that I’ve ever tried but the scent is really uplifting and I like to use it after a shower in the morning, it somehow makes me feel more energetic.
What are your December favourites?
